Hightly regarded company based near Truro, Cornwall are looking to recruit a permanent Management Accountant. The Management Accountant will drive the company forward strategically but still be hands on with day to day finance tasks. This is a position which is perfect for a part qualified or qualified accountant, who is looking to drive there career forward. It would also suit a newly qualified practice candidate looking to make their first move into industry. The Management Accountant duties will include: Preparation of monthly management accounts Month end accounts & financial accounting Cash Flow Forecasting Monthly and annual budgeting/forecasting preparation, together with variance analysis Managing customer trade portals (EDI) Monthly reconciliation of all control accounts Statutory Returns: VAT, EC Sales, Invoice discounting & Payroll Fixed asset register maintenance Investigating variances to standard costs Planning the daily activities of the finance team You will need the following skills: Experience of Advanced Excel ACCA/CIMA/ Qualified or Part Qualified or AAT fully qualified - This would be a fantastic opportunity to move into industry if you are newly qualified in Practice. Able to bring energy and dynamism to the position Flexible and commercially aware Knowledge of both financial and management accounting, cash flow forecasting and budgeting is required along with the ability to prepare financial reports.
