Mitigate Safety & Process Risks Business Critical Role Friendly 14/7 Roster - Paid Travel Our client, from an international mining company, has exclusively engaged us to source for a Mechanical/ Process Safety Engineer for their site across the top end of Australia. In this FIFO role, you will be tasked to support our clients site-wide critical safety program ensuring the work carried out meets organisational process safety guidelines and procedures. Participate in process safety risk assessments and process hazard analyses (PHAs) Work with HSE, emergency response, engineering, operations and maintenance to update process safety related documentation. Work with operations and maintenance personnel to update standard operating procedures. To work with asset owners and the training department to update general and site specific inductions. To provide guidance to commissioning engineers to ensure that the necessary risk reviews, pre start inspections and operating procedures are completed prior to the commissioning of process safety related equipment. Provide mechanical engineering support to the site by generating work notifications and work scopes for the repair of process safety related equipment. About You: Degree qualification in mechanical engineering coupled with 4+ years of engineering experience within mining or energy environments Experience or exposure to process safety and process safety inspections/ auditing Experience with tanks, pressure vessel and piping integrity inspections, assessment and repair.
