We are currently looking for a Quality Control Specialist to contribute to ensuring that Conavi's manufacturing processes and supporting documentation are in compliance with ISO standards and Current Good Manufacturing Practices (CGMP) quality requirements. MAIN JOB RESPONSIBILITIES Monitor and maintain documentation associated with NCR (Non-Conformance Record) from logging the NCR to ensure that it is closed prior to utilization or production of the component Communicate with manufacturing colleagues including procurement staff to advise of NCR that have removed components or materials from inventory Contribute to the review and storage of manufacturing records (i.e. Device History Records DHR, Incoming Inspection Records, First Article Inspection FAI records) Co-ordinate the device label control program and print off device labels for final approval Support the maintenance of manufacturing documentation Co-ordinate the equipment control program including logging manufacturing equipment, monitoring calibration schedules and ensuring equipment is calibrated as required by internal or external resources Co-ordinate investigation and disposition of NCRs and identify trends Monitor supplier and maintain Approved Vendor Lists (AVL) Communicate with suppliers regarding quality control, AVL status, NCR, Supplier Corrective Action Request (SCAR) Promote and instill the principles of quality in collaborations with manufacturing colleagues Participate in opportunities to develop quality and medical device business knowledge Participate, and adhere to, health & safety initiatives and requirements EDUCATION AND QUALIFICATIONS Post-secondary education Previous experience working in Quality Control positions in a manufacturing environment ideally in the medical device or pharmaceutical manufacturing industries (approx. 3+ years) Understanding and working knowledge of ISO Quality Standards (13485), and CGMP Proficient computer application skills including Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, Word, Access) Teamwork-oriented approach to achieving goals Strong verbal and written communication skills Excellent organizational ability and attention to detail Ability to multi-task, prioritize duties and execute tasks in a timely manner Strong self-initiative and work ethic Conavi Medical values diversity and encourages applications from all qualified candidates including women, visible minorities, indigenous people, and persons with disabilities.
