As one of the fastest-growing warehousing and logistics companies in North America, we are looking for an experienced Transportation Supervisor. Responsibilities: Oversee & support dispatch operations performed including but not limited to: timely & accurate movements of materials to support the Southern Logistics Center accurate data capture of all shipments & driver/equipment movements location visibility of all containers, chassis & tractors timely return of containers & rental chassis fueling & equipment maintenance accurate data capture within movement database Orchestrate and organize pre-shift meetings, providing pertinent information for all parties involved Review, revise, when applicable, and approve time cards Plan, organize and help solve problems and make informed decisions that affect the service and productivity of our customer Promptly escalate issues/concerns that have the potential to affect our customer to the Transportation Manager and to the customer directly depending on the situation Maintain tractor and trailer repair concerns by communicating thoroughly to approved vendors expeditiously Promote and enforce DOT regulations and procedures Collect DVIR logs weekly and maintain record retention Communicate with human resources regarding information requests, complaints, etc. Responsible for daily container audits Be knowledgeable and understand how our function affects our customer Address and resolve any issues, conflicts and problems with employees Properly document all details of incidents including photos, outside reports and personnel Train, coach and manage associates in all policies and procedures of the company Provide employee (driver) reviews in a timely manner Keep proper and accurate documentation and records Promote and maintain a safe working environment Enforce company policies and corresponding work instructions; document all training occurrences Communicate respectfully and thoroughly with internal staff and external customers Responsible for continuous improvement Must have good attendance and reasonably open availability Perform any other duties and/or responsibilities assigned by manager We offer an excellent compensation and benefits package including paid time off, 9 paid holidays and 401k with company match.
