Swiss Ocean is a specialized company dedicated to yacht asset management, including operational management, hospitality and training, consulting, new build and refit supervision. Yacht services and team are mainly based in Cyprus, Hamburg and Antibes.The Yacht Compliance Manager will be responsible for a fleet of vessels, acting as the DPA (Designated Person Ashore) and Compliance Manager.Part of the role will also involve operational management of certain yachts, as primary point of contact between the vessel and the Owner's representatives.She/ He will work in Hamburg office under direct supervision and reporting to the Managing Director. Your tasks: To be the DPA (Designated Person Ashore) and Compliance Manager for a fleet of yachts; Supervise, administrate and coordinate the ISM of the company, at an operational level. Support will be given from Compliance department in Cyprus office; Support and act as primary contact with the vessels in term of compliance questions and consulting, implementation, etc.; Liaison with Classification Society and Flag States; Ensuring that all Safety management processes and compliance aspects are correctly implemented and followed. Plan and prepare audits; Support the yacht manager and crewing team with compliance questions; Operational Management of a fleet of vessels (private and commercial); Technical coordination with the support of the Technical Management team; Crew Management with the support of the Crew Manager; Certification (Statutory and Class) and Insurance; Budget and cost control (cash flow management, reporting to client,…); Safety Management/ISM with the support of the Compliance department; Participation in the Emergency Response Team if required; Helping with any other ad hoc tasks reasonably requested. Your profile: Sea-going experience in a senior deck rank position (yacht or small passenger ship),– or track record experience in yacht management; Minimum 5-10 years’ overall experience; Expert knowledge of ISM/ISPS, SOLAS, MLC & STCW. Previous auditing and surveying experience is a must; Excellent communication, presentation, diplomacy skills and the ability to communicate effectively at all levels (dealing with Owners, Captains, suppliers and various stakeholders); Effective solution finding, autonomous, disciplined and multi-tasking abilities; Able to perform under stressful situations, involving multicultural environment and diverse topics; General technical knowledge of large yachts and their operation; Good knowledge of budget aspects and financial reporting; Fluent in English (spoken and written) and proficiency in other languages will be an advantage; Good sense of humour; Previous yacht management experience will be beneficial.
