Job Summary: Colony Hardware is seeking an enthusiastic, driven Human Resources Intern to join our team in Orange, CT! The Human Resources Intern will be exposed to all areas of Human Resources through involvement in HR projects, initiatives, and day-to-day activities. This is a great opportunity for an undergraduate or graduate student to gain practical experience in Human Resources, as well as be a part of a growing company. Major Responsibilities: Assist in new hire onboarding activities which include: preparation of offer letters, creating offer packets, monitoring the background check process, and file creation Learn the recruiting process and assist in identifying qualified candidates through sourcing or pre-screening candidates by utilizing job boards, ATS, and additional technology Prepare materials for upcoming acquisitions Work closely with the Payroll/Benefits Administrator in maintaining the employee portal and HRIS Other duties as assigned Minimum Requirements: The candidate must be pursuing a degree with a concentration in Human Resources, and have a strong interest in learning Human Resources in a corporate setting. Ideally, the candidate will be a student entering their senior year, a recent graduate, or a Master's degree student. Additionally, the Human Resources Intern will: Exercise extreme discretion and confidentiality Possess a genuine passion for Human Resources, including talent acquisition Love to learn Value a strong team atmosphere Be adaptable This is a part-time internship opportunity. Hours are to be determined based upon the candidate's academic schedule, but will fall within the normal hours of operation: Monday through Friday, 8:00am through 5:00pm.
