Human Resources Generalist Colonial Chemical is seeking a Human Resources Generalist. The Human Resources Generalist will run the daily functions of the Human Resources (HR) department including recruiting, interviewing, hiring staff, administering pay, benefits, and leave, and enforcing company policies and practices. This role reviews, tracks, and documents compliance with mandatory and non-mandatory training, continuing education, and work assessments. This may include safety training, anti-harassment training, professional licensure, and aptitude exams and certifications. This role will handle tasks related to disciplinary matters; disputes and investigations; performance and talent management; productivity, recognition, and morale; occupational health and safety; and training and development. The HR Generalist will also handle employment-related inquiries from applicants, employees, and supervisors, referring complex and/or sensitive matters to the appropriate staff. In addition to recruiting and hiring responsibilities, the HR Generalist will implement new hire orientation and employee recognition programs. This position will be responsible for conducting or acquiring background checks and employee eligibility verification. The successful candidate will have excellent interpersonal communication, negotiation, and conflict resolution skills. The HR Generalist must have thorough knowledge of employment-related laws and regulations, and act with integrity, professionalism, and confidentiality.
