Job Overview Reporting to the VP of Finance & Controller, the Finance Manager will help the company continue to grow through improved financial reporting and procedures. Key Accountabilities Execution of full cycle (monthly; quarterly; annually) accounting processes including multi divisional reporting structure. · Prepare internal monthly/quarterly/annual financial statements in conjunction with VP of Finance & Controller. · Financial analysis of monthly results. · Managing the AR and AP process. · Minor Tax prep work. · Liaise with our external accountants. · Help develop Collectives junior accounting staff through training and mentoring. · Manage a small accounting team. Required Qualifications · Bachelor’s Degree in accounting or finance. · Hold or Pursuing professional accounting designation (Recently qualified CPA). · Experience in full cycle accounting and/or experience supervising audits in an accounting firm. · Demonstrated commitment to continuous improvement. · Experience with QuickBooks and Concur is preferred. · Advance Microsoft Office experience required. · Previous Waste Industry experience is preferred. · Experience managing teams and/or accounting projects. · Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing. · Thrives and can multi-task in a fast-paced working environment to meet deadlines. Collective Waste was established in 2006 primarily providing waste management services to Oilfield operations in Northern Alberta. Since then, we have expanded our expertise to Commercial, Residential, Municipalities and businesses throughout Alberta backed by a fleet of over 70 trucks. In 2018 our service crossed the border covering Oilfield operations in the Western Canada region.
