Cloud Direct are seeking a Cloud Consultant with expertise in deployment and migration projects; this is a great opportunity for an individual looking for an exciting, challenging opportunity to deliver varied and leading-edge Public Cloud solutions within our Azure Practice. The role of the cloud Consultant is very much a technical ‘hands-on’ role and focuses on low level design, deployment and documentation of Public Cloud solutions. We’re looking for an ambitious consultant, with proven project delivery experience looking to bring their expertise and knowledge to our Public Cloud operations. It will involve taking customers on the journey from initial assessment and advice, through to planning, architecture, design, migration and transformation with defined outcomes. As well as delivering technical solution, you will be working closely with other senior members of the Azure Team as well as our Cloud Solution Architects and experienced Project Managers. Responsibilities Working with Solution Architects, Project Managers, and your Practice Area colleagues to deliver enterprise level Azure Public Cloud implementation and migration Delivery and optimisation of customer workloads into Microsoft Azure, providing deployment guidance, supporting development of the customers’ cloud adoption model, and providing appropriate recommendations to overcome blockers Delivery of project components to high standards and best practice Populating High and Low-Level design documents whilst retaining a highly-flexible approach to change Working with Solution Architects and Project Mangers to improve and refine approach, tooling and delivery of repeatable solutions Qualifications and experience required Minimum 3+ years professional development within the IT consulting, technology and solutions arena Delivery experience relevant to Public Cloud migrations, especially technologies such as Citrix, App-V, VMware, Hyper-V, IIS, SQL or System Center Understanding of and enthusiasm for Public Cloud technologies Experience in implementation and migration of customer platforms Proven track record in delivering successful technology projects Willing to travel to customer sites and to provide detailed technical documentation Excellent interpersonal and communication skills and relationship building Desirable Most likely a minimal of 5 years of general IT / Windows Server technical experience Experience in provisioning and migration of Public Cloud platforms such as Azure, AWS or Office 365 Experience working with Open Source technologies and tooling Understanding of Citrix XenApp and/or XenDesktop platforms Understanding of Cloud Identity and Security, Access Management, Monitoring and Governance Networking and security technologies such as enterprise monitoring, LAN/WAN networking, anti-virus and encryption solutions Strong project management skills Azure Solutions Architect Expert AZ-300 Microsoft Azure Architect Technologies AZ-301 Microsoft Azure Architect Design AZ-900 Microsoft Azure Fundamentals Microsoft Azure Networking services Microsoft Azure Infrastructure services Microsoft Azure Platform services What do we offer you?
