Job Summary JD for AWS Solution Architect The ideal candidate will need to demonstrate: Deep technical skill in infrastructure, software architecture and cloud computing Customer facing skills, ideally gained in presales or consultancy roles, allowing them to represent AWS cloud to customers. Demonstrated ability to think strategically about solutions to business, product, and technical challenges. Awareness of technology trends and how they impact the way businesses consume IT Roles Responsibilities Support the Business development team to help formulate a strategy to help the adoption of AWS / Azure within the focus industry verticals. Guide customers to ensure success in building and migrating applications, software and services following the principles of the AWS Well-Architected Framework. Help educate enterprise customers on the value proposition of AWS, and participate in deep architectural discussions to ensure solutions are designed for successful deployment in the cloud. Help provide one-to-few and one-to-many training sessions to transfer knowledge to customers considering or already using AWS. Act as a technical liaison between customers, service engineering teams and support. Design enterprise cloud technical strategy Define and document cloud solution architecture(s) including technical designs and diagrams. Design and deploy dynamically scalable and highly available services on AWS Build and deploy production systems in AWS Design cloud network connectivity architecture. Technical Knowledge Strong Experience configuring and deploying applications in Amazon Cloud using core features of that environment such as: EC2, RDS, S3, ELB, VPC, EBS Basic experience configuring and deploying applications in Amazon Cloud using features such as: Elasticache, Redshift, Lamda, API Gateway Experience with Amazon API’s for integration Required Qualifications: Minimum 2 years of hands-on experience implementing AWS including use of AWS APIs Strong knowledge of leading edge technologies, tools, and software & services vendors 3 years of proven consulting experience Extensive work experience in a client delivery role with direct client interaction A Masters Degree in computer science, MIS, engineering or equivalent technical degree AWS Solution Architect Certificates; Associates, Professional.
