Description: I. Basic Purpose: Supports the Patient Experience department by developing and analyzing Press Ganey data, preparing reports, presenting findings and working with departments and staff across the organization to identify and develop strategy for improvement relative to the data. Coordinates requests from internal and external sources and provides reports and analyses in support of clinical and financial evaluations by management and administration. II. Major Duties and Responsibilities: 1. Complies with established corporate and departmental policies, procedures, objectives, quality assurance methods, and safety codes. Demonstrates compliance with licensing, regulatory and accrediting agency provisions as required. 2. Consistently demonstrates appropriate and professional communication behavior toward patients, customers, and coworkers. Cooperates with Management and peers to promote an environment of teamwork and collaboration. 3. Manage a large set of data, develop and adopt progressive models for reporting and reconciliation. Review data, generate concise reports, interpret results from analysis / reports and make actionable recommendations to non-financial / non-technical audience. Use a triple aim approach and deliver results to clinical operational and financial audiences. 4. Develop and implement methods for validating and cleaning data. Responsible for data collection, configuration and build of data structure, reviewing metrics, monthly reporting, and maintaining reports 5. Ensure the Patient Experience reports or other related reports are up to date and the information is timely and accurate. 6. Monitors projects and provides periodic status reports. 7. Assists service lines, committees and organization in the development of pathways by providing supporting data to make informed decisions. 8. Assists with evaluation of employed physicians and hospitalists. Prepares comparative reports in order to assess patient satisfaction of these physicians in order to determine performance goals and bonus awards. 9. Provides unit-specific data to nursing for the generation of nursing unit-based patient experience data when requested. 10. Provides data and comparative reports directly to medical staff physicians, for educational and patient experience purposes. 11. Gives formal presentation of reports and material upon request. 12. Ongoing professional growth and development through participation in educational programs, review of current literature, in-service meetings, user groups and workshops. 13. Attends meetings as required, and participates on committees as directed. 14. Directs improvement projects for patient satisfaction on an as needed basis. Use data to drive the improvement strategy and the lean A3 process. 15. Oversees and assists with development and maintenance of dashboards. 16. Project Management, including but not limited to, the develop of metrics to track success and meet deadlines, document metric requirements from both a technical and operational perspective, and execute on cross-functional project plans 17. Maintains annual mandatory education requirements specific to position as mandated by Martin Health System. 18. Performs all other duties as assigned or requested. III. Minimum Requirements (experience, training, and education): To effectively fulfill this position, candidate must meet the following requirements: > Must have a minimum of associate's degree. Bachelor's degree is preferred, not required. > Knowledge of clinical workflows. > Experience with database management systems, data mining, data analysis, data display and information technology. > Skilled in word processing programs, spreadsheets, Word, Excel, PowerPoint > Strong ability to accurately summarize detailed results and prepare written reports; and knowledge of medical terminology. Ability to work collaboratively with all members of health care team. Strong customer service skills. Skill in organizing & prioritizing tasks & materials. Skill in preparing, revising & maintaining up-to-date training materials. Ability to communicate effectively in user-friendly terms verbally and in writing. Ability to be a team player with effective interpersonal skills. Ability to solve problems and work independently. Ability to work in a stressful environment. Ability to meet project timelines. Self-motivated, dependable, strong work ethic & desire to learn. Effective communication skills for interdisciplinary meeting facilitation, presentations, and reports.
