The conduit that connects Louisiana’s present to Louisiana’s future. The Engineering Specialist Telecommunication designs or configures voice, video, and data communications systems. Supervises installation and post-installation service and maintenance. Organizes projects by writing bid specs, evaluating bids, and assisting in design. Creates and manage budget for assigned projects. Ensures quality and timeliness of the installation of assigned projects. Manages and administers the regulatory aspects and needs as they relate to telecommunications, such as; FCC licensing, FAA compliance, and telecom permitting. Responsibilities: Contract Management - Deliver required outcomes by coordinating activities of subcontractors and suppliers and acting as a primary point of contact for them while working within an established contract management plan. Improvement / Innovation - Implement improvements and provide feedback on them. Use change management systems and protocols to provide routine supportive services. Policy Development & Implementation - Work within established procedures to achieve specified goals. Product & Solution Development - Support others by carrying out a range of product development and engineering activities such as analyzing client situations or interpreting data. Project Management - Deliver small-scale or medium-scale projects while working within an established program management plan.
