Job Description GENERAL DESCRIPTION: A Field Technician is responsible for ensuring that Hazardous Waste is prepared IAW all Federal and Local regulations for shipment to the TSDF. He/She will assist in all paperwork associated with Hazardous Waste pick-ups on multiple Military bases. Assist the contract manager in accomplishing assigned Tasks Orders coming from DLA. Assist in loading of hazardous and Non-Hazardous waste on to trucks utilizing pallet jacks and any associated equipment needed. Essential Functions and Responsibilities: Maintain and be responsible for all Clean Earth equipment and supplies under the direction of the Contract manager. Inspection of waste materials to include proper packaging and labeling. Prepare load lists for Hazardous and Hon-h=Hazardous waste pick-ups. Assist in preparing all shipping documentation. Prepare waste profiles. Complete Tasks Orders and Clean Earth internal documents. Load waste shipments. Assist with field service/analytical activities. Complete other various tasks assigned by the Contract manager. Qualifications Education Requirements: Graduation from high school or GED equivalent required. Associates degree preferred. Communication skills to be able to deal with a wide range of customers, vendors, and co-workers. Ability to work independently in a safe and efficient manner and to follow safety policies and procedures. Working Conditions and Physical Requirements: Must be able to regularly access and use general office equipment including phones, computers, copiers, etc. Must be able to work in a busy, often distracting work environment.
