Civeo Premium Services Employees LP, Maintenance and Utilities Operations is recruiting for the skilled and result driven Journeyman Plumber to work at 7 Mile Rd. Lodge, CGL located near Burns Lake, BC and other Civeo camps along the CGL pipeline construction project. Civeo lodges and other facilities operate 24 hours a day, seven days a week. Hence, the work schedule includes weekends and holidays. Rotation between job sites within British Columbia and Alberta is required. Reporting to Maintenance Supervisor, a Plumber will be responsible for the mechanical portion of facility maintenance in a remote location. Being a certified trade person, a Plumber will provide maintenance, repair services, and work with contractors as required. A Plumber will install, repair and maintain pipes, fixtures and other plumbing equipment used for water distribution and wastewater disposal in the remote facilities, modular types of structures and other premises. The incumbent must follow applicable building safety codes focusing on safety, quality and accuracy of wok and shall be adaptable to changing roles within the function. This is a permanent, full-time, hourly position. Key Responsibilities: Repair commercial kitchen equipment Read blueprints, drawings and specifications to determine layout of plumbing system, water supply network and waste and drainage systems Install, repair and maintain residential, commercial or industrial plumbing fixtures and systems Assemble and install valves and fittings Locate and mark positions for pipe connections, passage holes and fixtures in walls and floors Cut opening in walls and floors to accommodate pipe and pipe fittings Measure, cut, bend and thread pipes using hand and power tools or machines Join pipes using couplings, clamps, screws, bolts, cement or soldering, brazing and welding equipment Test pipes for leaks using air and water pressure gauges Follow all company, job and client-specific safety protocols and OH&S legislation. Competency Requirements: Certified Journeyman Plumber. Red Seal certification is required for trades out of province. Must have a valid Gasfitter-Class B certificate Minimum 5 years of directly related construction and maintenance experience in renovation, residential, commercial and light industrial settings Must have commercial kitchen equipment experience Valid class 5 driver’s license with clean 5-year non-commercial driving abstract Specialized knowledge and experience working with HVAC systems and kitchen equipment Must have safety certificates, such as Fall Protection, Confined Space/Monitoring, Elevated Work Platform, and First Aid (Standard/OFA 1) Completion of Defensive Driving training is required Must successfully pass site access Alcohol and Drugs test, which is arranged by the company Ability to work physically and regularly lift up to 50 lb. Ability to work independently and as a part of a team Attention to details, accuracy and strong interpersonal, organizational and problem solving skills Ability to multi-task and effectively manage time to meet required project deadlines Ability to interact co-operatively and professionally with customers and co-workers Strong focus on safety, quality of work and environmental awareness Flexibility and adaptability. Worker must be able to travel to Northern British Columbia and work in the remote camp locations, work nights, weekends and holidays Must be able to work 10 hours per day on a 14 days on and 14 days off (14/14), 14/7, 21/7, 21/10, etc. rotation schedule or other suitable work arrangement.
