About the Role The purpose of this position involves the day to day maintenance of large open space areas, parks, gardens, streetscapes and nature strips. You will be required to perform work in a professional manner and to a quality appropriate to their skill level ensuring compliance with regulations, policies and procedures Primary Responsibilities: Perform open space maintenance works as required. This may include: mowing, weeding, spraying, mulching, picking up machinery maintenance, general pruning, planting, watering, hedging, watering, removing garden waste, litter picking and blowing down paths Operate and maintain various horticultural machinery in a safe and professional manner Wearing required safety PPE and following safety procedures Operate and maintain various horticultural machinery in a safe and professional manner. Undertake and record daily worksite assessments. (Onsite audit checklist, HAC sheets, Quality of works & OH&S compliance).
