Duties include development, management, and evaluation of plans, programs, budgets, studies, and documents related to all modes of transportation in the City, with specific emphasis on emerging technologies in the field of transportation. This work is performed under general direction – the incumbent establishes methods and procedures for attaining specific goals and objectives and receives guidance in accordance with broad goals; only final results of work are typically reviewed, through conferences, meetings, and accuracy of results achieved. Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor's Degree or equivalent with major course work in Transportation Planning, Civil Engineering, or a related discipline, supplemented by a minimum of five years of experience in transportation planning and design. Master's Degree in a related field is preferred. Certifications/Special Req: Certification as a Professional Engineer (P.E.) is required. AICP or other certifications related to the job duties are preferable.
