Labourer 1 Temporary Positions (six month duration) Parks Department – Three (3) positions We are looking for keen individuals to perform manual maintenance in our Parks service areas and facilities for a six month term to assist with seasonal work. Under supervision of skilled staff, work may involve duties associated with routine cleaning, maintenance and repair of municipal services, facilities, parks and other public spaces. Duties could include litter pick up, and landscape maintenance using various hand tools. We are looking for individuals able to exercise initiative and sound judgment, who possess a positive work ethic, and work well independently. If you have knowledge and experience in a parks related setting, don’t mind hard work in all kinds of weather, and are physically fit, we invite you to submit your resume. An unrestricted Class 3 Driver’s License with Air Endorsement would be considered an asset. These CUPE positions offer an hourly rate of $28.16 per hour plus 10% in lieu of benefits.
