How this position will Make the Difference to City of Melbourne… As the Hospitality Sales Coordinator, you will be responsible for driving revenue and visitation for hospitality products and premium packages for events across the Tourism and Events branch. You will have a predominant focus on hospitality sales for Melbourne Fashion Week, Women in Business and Melbourne Awards but may work across other events throughout the year when required. Your role will involve liaison and communication with the Premier Events and Event Marketing teams on elements associated with marketing, ticketing, programming, operations, budgeting, acquittal and other duties as required. You will encompass significant administrative components relating to an efficient and effective end to end sales process. The position has the following revenue targets: Melbourne Fashion Week: $190,000 + GST Women In Business: $20,000 + GST Melbourne Awards: $20,000 +GST The successful incumbent will develop effective and productive relationships with current and potential clients in order to drive sales and attendance at City of Melbourne events and assist in building a positive profile for the City of Melbourne and related events. You can bring … (Selection criteria) Ability to demonstrate and display City of Melbourne Values – accountability, integrity, courage, respect for self and others, and striving for excellence. Proven business development and sales skills in an event corporate hospitality environment. Project management skills including the ability to provide input into the planning process, manage project plans and manage budgets and revenue targets. Experience in a business development or sales role within a large event team and a proven ability to understand complex reporting lines and manage competing demands. Experience coordinating multiple components in both a business and community event environment. Demonstrated understanding of or experience with marketing, sponsorship and PR/media requirements within events. Skills in event administration including preparation of event plans, reports, correspondence, papers, database management and general office duties.
