POSITION INFORMATION This position will support HHWP compliance with NERC Operational and Planning (O&P) reliability standards. Functions will include monitoring, researching and interpreting NERC O&P Standards, advising HHWP staff with respect to changing reliability requirements; coordinating preparation for NERC audits and periodic reporting; overseeing investigations of possible compliance violations and preparation of related regulatory filings; interacting with WECC and NERC compliance monitoring and enforcement staff; performing compliance risk/gap assessments; coordinating with Subject Matter Experts regarding work plans, monitoring deadlines, evaluating performance, determining training needs and recommend process improvements; tracking NERC compliance related corrective action plans. WORK LOCATION: There is currently one (1) position available. The positions are with the Hetch Hetchy Water and Power division of the Water Enterprise and is located at Moccasin, California. EXAMPLES OF IMPORTANT AND ESSENTIAL DUTIES According to Civil Service Commission Rule 109, the duties specified below are representative of the range of duties assigned to this job code/class and are not intended to be an inclusive list. Evaluate performance, determine training needs and recommend process improvements for NERC O&P Standards. Assist staff within even analysis preparation and corrective action plans. Minimum Qualifications These minimum qualifications establish the education, training, experience, special skills and/or license(s) which are required for employment in the classification. If you are interested in a job like this, we are looking for people that have the following: EDUCATION: Possession of a baccalaureate degree from an accredited college or university preferably with major coursework in Law, Engineering, Environmental Studies, Natural Resources, Computer Science, Business Administration, Mathematics, Statistics, Economics or other field related to the utility business AND EXPERIENCE: Four (4) years of verifiable journey-level work experience in one or more of the following areas: planning, scheduling, cost estimating and resource projecting for mid to large scale projects; water supply management and planning; power operations planning and scheduling; analysis, interpretation and application of utility contracts and regulations in either water, power (electric and/or natural gas), telecommunications, or a wastewater program; utility market and environmental analysis and planning; power supply and transmission rates and contracts; generation, transmission or distribution planning and design; or long-term utility systems planning SUBSTITUTION: Additional qualifying experience may be substituted for the degree requirement on a year-for-year basis Applicants must meet the minimum qualification requirement by the final filing date unless otherwise noted.
