Access Barrie combines customer service, marketing and communications, transit and parking, and information technology. This strategic portfolio reflects the importance and need for the City to easily and efficiently connect the people who live and work in Barrie to the people, places, services and information that matters to them. Under the general guidance and direction of the Executive Director of Access Barrie, the Administrative Assistant of Access Barrie provides confidential and non-confidential administrative support to the department. Specifically, this position acts as an initial point of contact for the Executive Director and Management staff in the Portfolio, administers payroll processing, departmental procurement processes, maintains and tracks all aspects of employee records and files and monitors the Strategic Portfolio’s budget. Additionally, this position assists with customer service, research, service delivery reviews, and the maintenance of electronic and hardcopy records. Overall, this position plays an integral role in ensuring the consistent delivery of administrative support services of the Access Barrie Portfolio to enable comprehensive delivery of services to the residents and customers of the City of Barrie.
