SO 1/2-Communications Intelligence Unit (SPoC) Manager - (2000004E) Description This position will initially be a FTC for 12 months with the potential to be made permanent. Cheshire Constabulary has an exciting opportunity for an individual to join the Force as a Communications Intelligence Unit (SPOC) Manager. The unit provides 24/7 cover with out of hours support by way of an On Call rota, the successful candidate would be part of the On Call rota. The position is based at Cheshire Police Headquarters, Winsford, within the Force Intelligence Bureau. There will also be a need to travel around the County and to attend meetings across the region, representing the unit. The successful candidate will need to have relevant experience of the acquisition of Communications Data within the requirements of the relevant legislation. An understanding of emerging technologies and opportunities for law enforcement to use Communications Data to support investigations and operational activity would be an indication of the skills required. Must have completed the National Accredited Communications SPOC Foundation Course. The attached Role Profile which you can find HERE, outlines the skills and experience necessary for this post.
