Chelmsford City Council is looking to appoint a Homelessness and Rough Sleeper Coordinator as part of our commitment to work with partners to reduce rough sleeping. This is a new post, working with Maldon District Council, Essex County Council and other statutory and voluntary organisations initially on a 12 month fixed term contract. Responsibilities include managing and supporting two Rough Sleeper Navigators, identifying opportunities for helping people move on from rough sleeping, to settled accommodation and developing closer working between agencies in mid Essex to support these aims. Chelmsford City Council is committed to safeguarding vulnerable groups and expects all employees to share this commitment and have a range of policies and procedures in place which promote safeguarding and safer working practices across our services.
