So, come and join us, and let's build a brighter future together. What you’ll do The Marketing Copywriter will help grow Charitable Impact’s digital presence, audience, and impact. The Marketing Team is looking for someone to support content creation on our blog and other channels, to create marketing collateral and other written materials, to contribute to marketing campaign efforts, and to assist with social media content. There will also be opportunities to work closely on events and other community engagement strategies. This role offers many opportunities to enhance and develop skills. The position is based in our Vancouver office and reports to the Senior Manager, Digital Marketing Content. Unfortunately, we are not able to consider remote work for this opportunity at this time. Please include a cover letter with your application. About you You’re a highly organized, creative copywriter with several years experience honing your craft. You love words and writing for diverse audiences, have a knack for creating catchy digital content that gets people talking, and possess an unwavering eye for detail. Essentially, you can produce dynamic copy that creates results. You’re also not afraid to experiment with ideas. You’re most in the flow when writing blog articles, brainstorming ad content, connecting with stakeholders and influencers, or helping to develop marketing campaigns. More than anything, you’re excited to create change through effective digital content strategies and tactics. You are also analytical, adaptable, and able to pivot based on results. We’re a small, collaborative, and fast-paced team who enjoy working together to drive our ideas forward. You’ll thrive on working with multiple projects at once, and won’t mind assisting with presentation decks or helping out during events. Your responsibilities Create dynamic copy for various media, including: blog articles, email newsletters, social media posts, thought leadership pieces. Collaborate with the Sr. Manager, Digital Marketing Content to contribute to an editorial calendar that drives content creation and campaigns. Contribute to marketing campaigns involving social media and influencer outreach to help grow audiences and create conversions. Coordinate and collaborate with the Manager, Digital Marketing, to create advertising copy and landing page copy on fast deadlines (e.g., PPC, SEM, display, social, retargeting and remarketing). Coordinate and collaborate with the Sr. PR and Communications Manager to create content that aligns with media relations efforts. Work closely with Charitable Impact staff to create research-based articles, thought leadership pieces, and relevant marketing collateral (e.g., fact sheets, event materials, and whitepapers). Perform SEO research and contribute to other efforts to boost our audience growth. Keep an eye out for holidays, awareness days, and social media trends to update our content channels and maximize exposure. Stay on top of trends in marketing, fintech, and the charitable sector to inform content. Report on the performance of content and campaigns, and provide analytics to other team members. Contribute to (and adhere to) a social media policy guide and editorial style guide. Proofread and edit content, as required. Create presentations and speaking notes alongside senior members of Charitable Impact’s team. Assist with events and other marketing activities, as assigned. What we're looking for Degree or diploma in marketing, communications, journalism, public relations, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience. 3 to 5 years of full-time copywriting experience in an agency, in-house marketing department, or freelance role. Strong portfolio of writing and copywriting, demonstrating ability to write in a variety of engaging styles for diverse audiences. Strong understanding of digital platforms, including social media channels and Google Analytics. Clear understanding of writing content for each stage of the sales funnel that drives conversions. Ability to translate complex concepts and messages into crisp, clear copy. Demonstrated experience creating marketing campaigns coordinated with media relations and influencer strategies. Demonstrated knowledge of SEO best practices and keyword search. Experience creating blog and ad copy with high conversion rates. Strong teamwork skills and the ability to contribute ideas to advance organizational goals. Demonstrated capacity to follow through on big-idea strategies. Ability to work collaboratively in a team, while also working well independently. Exceptional time management and organization skills. Ability to handle and prioritize multiple tasks and assignments while meeting deadlines. Strong proofreading and copyediting skills. Experience creating podcasts or video content, a benefit.
