Application QA/Release Manager - Gurgaon, India Reports To Director IT, India What You Will Be Doing ChargePoint is looking for a for a QA Lead/ Release Manager to lead an IT QA team, automating test cases and developing a Release Management process and procedures. The individual will work with a remote Business Applications and functional business teams to QA solutions in NetSuite, SalesForce, and Mulesoft environments, as well as design and implement test Automation solutions in these environments. This role will have the responsibility to oversee the work of the QA team and work closely with other members of Business Application's team, including offshore development and support. This role would suit a self-motivated, results-oriented individual who is comfortable in an entrepreneurial environment and has experience in working effectively with and providing world-class service to internal and external customers. This is a hands-on role, and will require strong experience and knowledge of the Agile/scrum methodologies, test automation scripting as well as implementation and management of Release processes. What You Will Bring to ChargePoint Strong communication skills, interaction with clients, users, management, and developers Collaborate with peer organizations, product owners, end users and provide central point of contact across multiple projects and programs for QA & Release deployment support in fast paced agile environment. Lead and coordinate system release planning, QA and release schedule and deployment management at a program level for different initiatives. This includes baseline management, version controls, implementation plans, communication plans and software upgrades. Coach, mentor and Influence QA team; sharing skills and expertise and leading by example Help troubleshoot code level problems quickly and efficiently Prior experience in QA of ERP and CRM systems and API testing Design and development of Automation frameworks based on application requirements Deep understanding of testing process, methodologies and best practices Implement and manage the product deployment initiatives and the release processes through development, QA, UAT, and production environments Maintain the release schedule by working closely with the project teams to create a centralized view of all releases, aligning with crucial companywide initiatives. Conduct Release Readiness reviews, Milestone Reviews, and Go/No-Go reviews, maintain Product Deployment and Implementation Plans and communication to stakeholders. Partner with Scrum masters, QA leads & impacted technology system owners to review deployment plans and supporting requirements to create program level deployment plans. Participate in deployment activities and post deployment retrospective and monitor resolution of identified issues through upcoming releases. Conduct internal release readiness meetings to ensure all are prepared for the release. Create and monitor DevOps and Release Management metrics After hours and on-call work is required as part of the release cycle Strong communication skills, interaction with users, developers and management Collaborate with peer organizations, quality assurance and end users to produce cutting-edge software solutions Communicate effectively through writing and be able to create test cases Identify bugs or code related issues quickly and efficiently Proficiency with Agile related project management tools (such as Jira) Prior experience in QA of ERP, CRM and API testing Design and development of Automation frameworks based on application requirements Deep understanding of testing process, methodologies and best practices Create and maintain automated testing artifacts Identify and drive change to ensure automation effectiveness Provide accurate, clear and concise testing status updates across multiple projectsParticipate in requirement and design review meetings to stay informed of potential impact to testing Requirements BS Computer Science (or equivalent) degree is required 8 - 9 years of experience as a QA Engineer with minimum, 3 years of test automation experience and 3 years of Release Management or related experience Deep understanding of DevOps tools and Continuous Integration/Continuous Delivery (CI/CD) for Release Management processes, artifacts, and tools Knowledge of either NetSuite Financials, Salesforce CRM, and/or MuleSoft Integration platform Experience in using Selenium, UFT and Performance Engineering (Load Runner and JMeter) and Manual Testing and Test Management Proficient in developing and implementing Automation Test Engineering Test Strategy (Selenium, UFT, JMeter, Load Runner and Jenkins) for web applications, mobile and desktop applications Proficiency with Agile related project management tools (such as Jira) Ability to work with stakeholders in the development, review and sign-off of test management documentation e.g. Test Strategy, Detailed Test Plan, Test schedule, test cases, etc. Ability to coordinate with the multiple stakeholders, designers, project managers to clarify requirement, test scenario development, test scripts development, test script execution and review of all test artifacts Strong verbal and written communication / presentation and demonstration abilities, facilitation, negotiation and expectation management Demonstrated ability to document applications clearly and in terms easy for business users to grasp Previous experience in managing the packaging and delivery of software Experience in developing and enforcing a release management process, policy and metrics Location Gurgaon, India We are committed to an inclusive and diverse team.
