Our Values Community and Customer Focussed Collaborative and Inclusive Challenge the Status Quo About the role The Manager is responsible for showcasing Central Goldfields Shire as vibrant and creative with a rich cultural history and an exciting future. You will lead a team that celebrates and showcases the Shire as a great place to live and a fascinating place to visit. You will play the leading role in shaping Central Goldfields as a cultural centre for central Victoria, building an innovative and ambitious arts strategy incorporating exhibitions and community arts and education along with a significant cultural events program. This work will support the Central Goldfields Shire Tourism Strategy and align closely with regional tourism strategies and campaigns including the Victorian Goldfields World Heritage Listing project. You will operate as Event Director for the Shire's Energy Breakthrough Festival in the months preceding, during and following the event and will also lead the Council's work in the recruitment, training, retention, and recognition of the many hundreds of community volunteers who support council and community events and activities throughout the year. Working with a small team you will cultivate an innovative, collaborative and solution-focused culture that is responsive to community needs and ambitions. You will be results-focused, an excellent communicator, and outstanding at building stakeholder networks. The role is offered on a permanent basis with a range of flexible working arrangements available.
