Job Title: Internship, Office of the President, Summer 2020 Department: Office of the President Center Background: The Center for Reproductive Rights (the Center) is the premier global litigation and legal policy organization using the power of law to advance reproductive rights as fundamental human rights around the world. Internship Summary: The Office of the President (OOP) at the Center for Reproductive Rights is looking for an enthusiastic, resourceful, and highly organized undergraduate or recent graduate to support the department, including the President & CEO and the Chief of Staff. This position, will provide the candidate with experience in the day-to-day functions within the executive office of a global nonprofit, including office administration, data management, research, and meeting preparation. Additionally, there will be opportunities for the candidate to attend and observe substantive meetings, events, and conversations on program work across the organization. The internship is full-time (35 hours per week) from June 1, 2020 through August 7, 2020. This position will be based in New York City. Primary Responsibilities: The scope of this position will cover, but is not limited to: Research and briefing preparation for the President/CEO for upcoming meetings/speaking engagements; Expense reporting; Maintenance of CEO contacts, including updating and categorizing for strategic outreach related to high-profile cases; and Monitoring and preparing responses for public email accounts. Qualifications: Current student enrolled in a bachelor's degree program or a recent graduate; Strong commitment to the Center's mission, purpose, and values; Interest in nonprofit management, administration, and/or coalition-building; High level of discretion in handling confidential matters and materials; Exceptional interpersonal, organizational, written, and verbal presentation skills; Ability to work independently and collaboratively under deadlines; Previous work experience in an office environment; Proficiency with Microsoft Office programs including Excel; and A sense of humor.
