Job Summary We are looking for a General Manager who thrives in a team-oriented, fast-paced environment and is impassioned by the opportunity to lead teams who are directly impacting our patient's health. As a senior member of the Carbon Health team, you would be responsible for providing leadership, direction, and a growth-mindset to ensure operational performance and clinical excellence within our clinics. As a General Manager, you will have the opportunity to take responsibility for all aspects of our clinics operational performance, including financial, clinical, and patient service outcomes. You will drive all business performance within an existing region including management of the existing clinic teams, the expansion of new clinics, and management of local healthcare partnership to grow the business. In this critical role, you will have direct oversight of clinic team, and full P&L responsibility. Location: San Francisco bay area highly preferred Open to remote-based in the West coast area; travel expectations to where our clinics are would be up to 20% Who You Are Self-motivated, strategic thinker, and action driven Experience business leader with demonstrated ability to manage operational and financial performance of multi-site healthcare operations Passionate about a transformation to a better system in healthcare Exceptional leadership qualities, strong interpersonal skills, and highly organized Motivated team builder with the ability to source, develop and unlock the potential of high-quality talent Your Role Manage all operational and financial performance of practice sites and clinic teams within a defined geographic region (will grow to be up-to 30 distinct practice sites) Identify and implement strategies to grow practice site volume and profitability Build and foster an environment of excellence by managing Practice Managers and developing a high-performing team/culture while establishing clear direction of accountability for day-to-day operations, objectives, and strategic goals Oversight of HR and payroll policies and procedures for the region, including proactive recruiting, hiring, training, scheduling, timecards, payroll, and performance management Accountable to drive the financial performance and P&L oversight by ensuring the budgeted productivity, labor, and other expenses are achieved Analyze and track practice sites' performance based on business objectives (e.g. monitor variance to operating budget and patient satisfaction goal - implement strategies to achieve) Maintain strong-ties and leadership alignment with partner Regional Medical Director to ensure clinical teams are delivering high-quality clinical outcomes Partner with development teams to identify and roll-out additional practice locations within the region Maintain an environment that complies with all state and federal regulations including HIPAA Lead the logistics and community outreach on new clinic setup prior to opening Establish and nurture local healthcare partnerships to support growth and high-quality clinical outcomes for our patients Your Qualifications and Skills (Required) Proven track record of building, developing and coaching teams (125+ employee base) to achieve strategic objectives and maintain accountability Extensive experience and successful track record in leading operations across distributed locations (10+) in healthcare retail environment Possesses the ability to build strong, trusting relationships at all levels within the organization Able to lead, communicate, and work well with clinical and administrative staff and clinicians Proven ability to manage financial and operational results in distributed and complex business environments Strong organizational, analytics, and multi-tasking skills and ability to be calm during stressful situations Excellent interpersonal skills with a high level of attention to detail and confidentiality Versatility, flexibility, and a willingness to work within changing priorities with enthusiasm Ability to travel up to 20% Ideal Qualities (Desired Qualifications) MBA or advanced degree in Healthcare Administration Prior experience in leading distributed healthcare operations Experience launching new markets and creating early-phase growth plans What we offer Forward-thinking, transparent, collaborative, and inclusive company culture Wonderful tight-knit culture within and across our clinic sites and at HQ in San Francisco Competitive salary with full medical, dental, vision, equity, and other great benefits About Us At Carbon Health, our mission is to make world-class healthcare more accessible to everyone.
