Canvas is looking for a talented Computer Network Specialist to support the US Army Training and Doctrine Command (TRADOC) at Fort Knox in their implementation of the new, leading-edge commercial off the shelf (COTS) enterprise technology system, the Accessions Information Environment (AIE). This new platform will enable the U.S. Army to streamline its information exchange process with regards to the recruiting and retention process. Position is contingent upon contract award, which is expected in Spring 2020. Responsibilities Analyzes, tests, troubleshoots, and assesses existing network systems, such as local area network (LAN), wide area network (WAN), and internet systems or a segment of a network system. Monitors and performs network maintenance to ensure networks operate correctly with minimal interruption. Analyzes test data and recommends hardware or software upgrades. Identifies areas of operation, which need upgraded equipment. Conducts surveys to determine user needs. Develops and writes procedures for installation, use, and solving problems of communications hardware and software. Assists users to identify and solve data communication problems. Provides high level support to contract operations by leading projects. Advises contract managers and automation technical experts and solves complex network problems. Qualifications BA/BS in Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems or related degree required Minimum five years demonstrated experience Must be able to obtain and maintain a security clearance.
