Position: Senior Graphic Designer Department: Marketing Reports to: Manager, Design POSITION SUMMARY: The Senior Graphic Designer has a passion for hitting sports and esports audiences in the heart and understands the thrill, energy, and sense of community that binds our fans to our games. They are a team player who rises to every challenge and is fluent in designing for all touchpoints in-venue, at home, and on the move. A typical day includes: Developing and maintaining the overall brand identity of Canucks Sports & Entertainment (CSE) and ensuring a consistent look and feel among all platforms Designing fan-facing creative to drive CSE brands and businesses across all fan touchpoints including print, digital, environmental, and experiential Creating production files reflecting the most effective file-building methods Communicating with internal partners from first draft to final sign-off WE HAVE: A team you can belong to and believe in A fun, high energy environment – after all, it is the sports and entertainment industry! An open mind for new ideas YOU ARE A NATURAL AT: Thriving in a fast-paced, deadline-oriented environment Collaborating across teams to find creative solutions to problems Managing multiple projects at once by being highly organized and self-motivated Being an A+ communicator, including as a mentor to junior designers YOU MUST HAVE: At least five years’ experience in a production environment and expert skills using the latest software packages, including Adobe Creative Cloud, Apple Keynote, Sketchup, etc. Expert skill level of all design fundamentals including composition, colour theory, typography, and illustration Strong background knowledge of physical print and environmental production processes and practices Strong technical proficiency working in a Mac environment YOU MIGHT ALSO HAVE: Completion of a recognized graphic design diploma or degree Experience with UI and UX design; motion skills Experience with photography and lighting Interested, qualified applicants are invited to submit their resume by clicking "Apply Now" above.
