About Canteen

We’re looking for a creative professional who can independently source, plan and create compelling content that will drive engagement across Canteen’s digital and print assets. You will work with internal stakeholders to identify new content needs and use your own video creation, image editing and graphic design capabilities – combined with excellent written communication skills – to create content in a range of formats while also supporting the development of user generated content. Canteen also has an extensive library of text-heavy resources and informational website pages which need to be re-purposed into more bite-sized, accessible and engaging pieces of content. This role will be critical to the success of Canteen’s new marketing strategy, Canteen’s new website (due to launch in mid-2020) and the performance of our social media and email communications. Selection Criteria: Qualifications: Relevant tertiary qualification in communications, publishing, graphic design or related fields, or experience in a similar role Experience, Knowledge & Skills: 3+ years’ experience in communications, publishing, graphic design or other similar roles Demonstrated ability to independently create high quality and engaging video, image and text-based content Excellent written communication and proof-reading skills alongside a strong attention to detail Admin level experience with Content Management Systems like WordPress and Drupal and familiarity with HTML Demonstrated experience planning and implementing SEO strategies Proficiency in the following programs: Adobe Illustrator Adobe inDesign Adobe Photoshop Adobe Premiere Pro Desireable Criteria: Experience in marketing to/communicating with/engaging a youth audience Experience creating health-related content.
