The Opportunity We are seeking a motivated professional to join our team as a Project Manager. Reporting to the Vice President – Interdepartmental Projects this individual will be responsible for managing the development of product specifications, business capabilities and domestic infrastructure for Canopy Growth’s product lines in the APAC. They will be the driving force for converting the company’s strategic goals into action, working across the organization to deliver results. The role will include routine communications with senior leadership and be highly visible. A successful candidate will be solutions-oriented, with a bias for action and a tenacious approach to problem solving. Responsibilities Lead APAC products from the concept stage until ready-for-sale and beyond Manage end-to-end project planning, risk identification, dependency tracking, issue escalation and change management for product lines in APAC Lead cross-functional teams encompassing infrastructure/facilities, business capabilities and product development Facilitate interdepartmental collaboration, serving as liaison between the APAC Project Team, functional managers and corporate leadership Engage external contractors and service providers, developing integrated plans and risk management strategies Organize project risk identification, consulting subject matter experts for accurate assessment. Develop risk mitigation plans and escalate to senior leadership when required Provide routine status updates and coordinating information to the Project Management Office (PMO) Implement and supervise project governance practices established by the APAC Project Team Experience Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience Minimum of 5 years project management experience (bonus points for prior work in highly regulated industry) Project Management Professional (PMP) or similar certification High-degree of comfort dealing with ambiguity in fast-moving environments Intense level of intellectual curiosity and creativity in problem solving Demonstrated ability to manage priorities and deliver results in dynamic environment Superior communication skills, both written and verbal, with demonstrated ability developing materials for senior management Able to understand technical concepts and communicate them to both technical and non-technical audiences Extensive knowledge of project governance frameworks and best practices Willing and able to travel to locations throughout the APAC ( < 50% travel required) Other Details This is a full-time position based out of Melbourne, Australia.
