Job Brief Canadian Health Solutions (CHS) is an industry leader in providing health management solutions and contract medical research to government departments and agencies, public and private corporations, insurance industry, law firms, organised labour groups and not-for-profit organisations. We maintain a fast-paced environment, currently employing 4 PhDs and numerous practicing physician researchers. Our founder describes our work model as a living lab, where continual R&D enables us to create the best health management products on the market. We are looking to hire a self-motivated individual interested in cutting edge medical research on topics related to health management. Knowledge of or experience with blood serum analysis, brain imaging, and medical device testing is considered an asset. If you are inquisitive, eager to accomplish and like to demonstrate your knowledge, you are a good fit for CHS. As Research Associate you will lead daily operations on individual projects, supervising coordinators or assistants and consulting with subject matter experts to support your research efforts. Applicants with experience in Life Sciences or other medical or health related fields are encouraged to apply. Responsibilities Develop project proposals and protocols based on input from our R & D team or other research participants Create a plan of action and set project goals and manage them to completion Conduct Literature reviews and statistical analyses Structure and propose study and research methodologies Identify any ethical or other approvals as required Manage ongoing data tracking and administrative items related to research projects Prepare manuscripts for publication Work on other projects and tasks as required from time to time. Requirements Candidate must possess a PhD with demonstrated evidence of project leadership capacity, or a master’s or equivalent professional degree with 3-5 years of on-the-job research experience. Superb organizational skills are a key requirement for this position Demonstrated experience in statistical methods related to research is required Excellent English writing and presentation skills are required French bilingualism is considered an asset Experience in neuroimaging, serology, or complex data analysis would be considered an asset Basic programming skills in Linux or R or similar would be considered an asset Additional Details: Location: 3700 Westfield Road, Saint John, NB, Canada. Occasional travel, primarily within New Brunswick. Office Hours: 8:00am-5:00pm with the need to be flexible with any extended coverage or on call requirements.
