In this role, your primary focus will be working with an international community to support the development of systematic reviews, clinical guidelines and leading practices in the areas of blood transfusion. Responsibilities include: Support the development of systematic reviews (SRs), clinical practice guidelines (CPGs) and leading practices (LPs): Assist in the development of PICO questions Design and execute search strategies of scientific literature for SRs Select, evaluate and summarize evidence according to established methodologies Facilitate the development of evidence-based recommendations Assist in the writing and publishing of SRs, CPGs and LPs Provide subject matter methodology expertise in guideline development: Maintain standard processes, methodologies and tools for the development of SRs, CPGs and LPs Investigate new tools and technologies Provide support, guidance and training on methodologies and tools Work to continuously improve the quality, efficiency and effectiveness of the processes Support dissemination and knowledge translation activities: Provide expertise in knowledge translation and implementation methodology Work with stakeholders to develop effective dissemination and knowledge implementation strategies to increase uptake of CPGs and LPs into practice Develop tools and processes to assess effectiveness of knowledge mobilization strategies and impact of LPs and CPGs on the health care system Required Skills Education,Training and Experience: Ph.D. or Master’s degree in Clinical Research Methodology, Epidemiology, Health Sciences or related field 2-3 years relevant experience with systematic reviews and clinical guidelines Knowledge in data management and statistical analysis/meta-analysis Experience and knowledge in the areas of blood transfusion, organ donation and transplantation, and/or hematopoietic stem cell transplantation are assets Demonstrated Competencies, Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: Highly motivated and self-managed with the ability to balance multiple priorities and multiple customer needs Proven management skills in coordinating and organizing of committees and working groups, including preparing agendas and minute taking Customer-focused with strong interpersonal, oral and written communication skills in English Experience with written and oral scientific presentation skills in English Experience with a variety of tools to develop clinical guidelines (e.g., GRADE, AGREE II, Cochrane, U.S. Preventive Services task force) Experience with a variety of scientific literature search and data management software (e.g., Ovid biomedical databases, PubMed, EndNote, GRADEpro, LibGuides) Key initiative supported by this position: https://www.ictmg.org/ Required Experience
