Summary of responsibilities: Reporting to the Manager, Accounting Operations, the Advisor, Treasury Operations is responsible for monitoring day-to-day cash balances and assisting in treasury management functions, including foreign exchange and trade finance activities. The incumbent is also accountable for processes, controls, and analytical activities as they pertain to treasury operations. The Advisor, Treasury Operations performs all other duties and responsibilities related to the position as required. What you need to succeed To qualify for the position, you must have: Graduation from a recognized college or university with a specialization in finance, business administration or some other specialization related to the duties of the position; Holds or is pursuing a Certified Treasury Professional (CTP) designation, or similar designation related to treasury; A minimum of five (5) years of related business experience in corporate treasury and cash management including corporate banking, merchant banking, capital markets, foreign currency risk management, or trade finance; Knowledge of financial internal controls, and finance processes; Knowledge of rules, regulations and compliance matters pertaining to corporate banking, merchant banking, capital markets, foreign currency and trade finance; Experience with hedging, i.e. forward contracts, swaps, and options; Experience with investments, and cash management. This position is best suited to individuals with the following skills and abilities: Ability to troubleshoot, think creatively and problem-solve; Ability to work in a team environment; Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing; Strong client service; Strong organizational skills, including the ability to identify and manage multiple priorities; Professionalism, diplomacy and discretion; Meticulous and thorough, with a high attention to detail. Valuable skills include: Professional accounting designation (e.g. CPA); Experience with treasury management systems (i.e. similar to Kyriba); Knowledge of CATSA’s mandate and priorities, as well as an awareness of relevant legislation impacting CATSA; Knowledge of relevant legislation, policies, directives, guidelines relevant to not-for-profit Corporations (e.g., the Financial Administration Act). Specific work requirements Ability to work overtime as required; Ability to travel as required; Language Profile: English Essential; Ability to obtain and maintain a Secret security clearance; Be a Canadian citizen or permanent resident.
