Position Purpose This position is responsible for providing leadership, strategic direction, and operational administration within Infoway’s information security program, supporting Pan-Canadian deployment of services. Major Responsibilities Provide expert level advice and consultation to all levels of internal and external stakeholders on corporate and project related security issues Direct and plan security related governance, architecture and audit activities for Pan-Canadian health IT service initiatives. Develop short and long term strategic plans to support Infoway it the achievement of it’s business objectives. Provides advice and direction on security related matters to senior leadership and executives at Infoway. Provide security expertise to Infoway funded programs and projects to appropriately manage corporate risk and enable compliance Support the ongoing completion of Threat Risk Assessments and other key security assessment functions including overseeing required follow-up to Security assessments. Further develop and ensure consistent implementation of Infoway’s Security Policy framework. Research and Development - Supporting Infoway’s understanding of industry best practices and emerging technology and its' applicability to new initiatives. Security Advisory Services - Providing support to Infoway teams on matters of compliance to security standards. Security Awareness & Training - Provides a support to ensure that Infoway users are knowledgeable about security best-practices and are able to appropriate action on that knowledge. Ensure Infoway’s Business Continuity Plan is current, comprehensive and tested. Coordinate incident response activities including remediation activities. Third Party Security Assessment Program - Implements and operates an effective program to continually assess third party relationships for the appropriateness of security controls and gather evidence that document the effectiveness of those controls. Education Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) Certified Information Systems Manager (CISM) Certified Risk and Information Systems Control (CRISC) Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA) Experience implementing digital health solutions in Canada Qualifications A mature and seasoned senior Information Security Professional with at least 10 years of progressive experience. Working within the Enterprise Risk Management and Compliance Framework, ability to understand security risks, threats, and vulnerabilities and the judgment to assess and articulate risk effectively. Ability to work with diverse stakeholders including internal business leads, security leaders in government and in participating corporate organizations and stakeholders who do not possess in depth security knowledge. As Infoway uses third party managed service providers, experience with security vendor management is necessary. Demonstrated experience working in the areas of healthcare, identity & access management, cloud infrastructure and information security governance are significant assets. Solid knowledge of security industry standards and best practices such as ISO 27001 and NIST standards is required.
