Position Overview: As our Facilities Specialist, you are responsible for maintaining inspiring and productive experiences for our retail store environments. Reporting to the Director; Store Construction & Facilities, you will manage operating and store maintenance budgets for Canada Goose’s retail stores, procure and negotiate contracts related to on-going store maintenance initiatives, implement processes and procedures to streamline day to day facility operations, while maintaining an environment that is engaging, inviting, collaborative and cohesive. You will also be actively involved in the remote support of our Canada Goose stores across the globe. Key Responsibilities: Key Responsibilities: Maintain an attractive, productive and fully operational retail experience for our guests and employees of Canada Goose Assist in the development and management of the facilities budget including maintenance and store upkeep related capital expenditures Maintain up to date floor/seating plans for all retail stores Participate in and support the process of securing new vendors whenever necessary Act as a primary point of contact with landlords and building management as well as outside facilities vendors, such as but not limited to janitorial and security sub-contractors, for all store level maintenance and repair related inquiries Ensure retail store’s fire and life safety systems maintain compliance with lease / jurisdictional requirements Act as the project lead for all retail store level repairs and replacements including on-going maintenance contracts Actively participate in the prevention of accidents and in promoting a safe working environment Work with Store Operations to develop, implement and maintain emergency procedures for all retail stores Provide the best experience for employees, clients, guests, and prospective candidates for employment by maintaining a high level of customer service Consult with key stakeholders to develop, implement, review, and maintain corporate maintenance standards for all retail stores Participate in the Joint Health & Safety Committee Experience, Education and Designations: At least 3-5 years of store level facilities management and procedural build-out experience within a high growth organization Must have 3 years of people management experience Knowledge, Skills and Attributes: Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint Knowledge of Procore is an asset Strong analytical and strategic thinking skills Be a self-motivated / self-starter individual Experience working with vendors, facility companies, contractors, landlords, and building management companies Ability to read a lease and ensure Canada Goose’s compliance Strong project management skills and problem-solving abilities Sound judgment and decision-making abilities Attention to detail with a focus on exceptional quality control procedures Must have excellent communication skills High level of integrity and dependability with a strong sense of urgency to get things done Can effectively multitask and prioritize in a fast-paced environment with moderate supervision Working Conditions: Must be flexible to work in an office environment and be willing to travel amongst our global network of retail stores when required.
