About the role: The role will be based across both Cambridge and Huntingdon campuses, working alongside the wider Student Support Services teams to provide a student centric service to students. You will offer an advisory service on welfare issues including financial assistance, housing and mental wellbeing specifically supporting students who have been identified as being at risk of not completing their programme of study. You will act as a Safeguarding Support Officer taking the appropriate action to safeguard students in line with the Colleges statutory duty. You will report to the Senior Student Advisor ensuring that students are receiving the highest standard of support throughout their journey at CRC. What we are looking for in our role: The right candidate will have recent experience of working in a similar role in social work, youth and community work, advice and guidance or education. Experience of managing a safeguarding case load is desirable. The ability to be self-motivated and organised is essential as the right candidate will need to be able to prioritise their own workload responding to the most urgent referrals. The successful candidate will be supported through access to supervision and be provided ongoing training and development to assist them in their role.
