Animal Care Attendant & Office Administration Position We are currently hiring for: Every other weekend – 8:30am-4:30pm day shift with opportunity/availability for additional shifts (Casual coverage for vacation, statutory holidays and/or employee illness, etc.) Schedules are distributed 1 month in advance 12 month contract with option to renew This position is ideal for those looking for casual work. The ideal candidate for this position will: Thrive in a fast-paced environment Display high level of attention to details Possess exceptional communication skills Capable of working in both a team and independent environment Kennel Responsibilities Feeding, bathing and care of all animals within the shelter General cleaning and disinfecting of premises and equipment (cages/kennels) as well as compliance with strict cleaning and disinfection protocols Laundry, dishes, scrubbing floors, etc. Handling and restraint of animals (domestic/wild) Intake and logging of incoming animals Ability to multi-task Compliance with Occupational Health & Safety Other duties as required Office Administration Responsibilities Providing high-level customer service Managing a multi-line phone system Proficiency in MS Office Ability to multi-task Other duties as required Requirements: Valid G Driver’s License Rabies Vaccinated (preferred) Animal Care/Husbandry (1 year preferred) Trained in First Aid (preferred) Benefits: On-site parking Company events & social hours Contract length: 12 months Part-time hours: 15 per week Job Types: Part-time, Contract, Casual Education: Secondary School (Required)
