Cambium Assessment is a national leader in computer based adaptive assessments. We are currently seeking a Facilities Senior Manager to join our team in Washington, DC. Responsibilities: The Senior Facilities Manager is responsible for and supervises the maintenance, care, and efficient operation of all equipment and facilities used by the organization across its 8 locations. Oversees the daily workflow, scheduling, and assignments of the equipment and facilities department. Anticipates and plans for future space and facility needs Makes recommendations for efficiencies; works with finance to manage costs Ensures assigned facilities and equipment are ready for regular business and special events Negotiates lease terms as needed for new leases or renewals Maintains files of warranties, records, licenses, inspections, service agreements, and contracts for various pieces of equipment Inspects and ensures maintenance is performed on assigned equipment and facilities Maintains the inventory, storage, and distribution of equipment or supplies Provides recommendations for purchases of new equipment Collaborates with management staff to prepare and implement budget Ensures assigned equipment is in proper working order and available for use Maintains physical space, ensuring a safe, clean, and functional environment Receives, manages, and processes work order requests; ensures problems are resolved quickly Acts as a liaison between employees and any outside contractors needed to resolve specialized problems Drafts and implements preventative maintenance schedules for buildings and equipment Ensures safety standards are followed throughout facility Participates on emergency preparedness planning team Applies, or assists with application, for required environmental permits if applicable Performs other related duties as assigned Qualifications: Bachelors degree or equivalent 10+ years’ experience in facilities, property, or operations management Experience, as a manager or supervisor, leading people Experience managing multiple facilities in different markets on-site and remotely Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software as required to complete and maintain records and communicate Ability to multi-task, meet deadlines and work independently Exhibit organizational and time management skills Demonstrate professionalism, good judgment and be detail-oriented Proven effective written and verbal communication skills Flexibility in duties and work schedule as needed Basic understanding of or ability to quickly learn the equipment and facilities to be maintained Ability to oversee projects as needed Ability to maintain basic records and warranties Ability to understand written directions in manuals and on manufacturer websites Cambium Assessment is one of America’s leading K -12 educational assessment entities, currently holding prime contracts for educational testing and scoring in many states.
