About the Role We have an opportunity for an experienced Security Operations Engineer to join our Digital team within Callaghan Innovation. Reporting to the Head of Platform Delivery, this newly created role is key to ensuring that Callaghan Innovation is meeting its information security management (ISM) obligations, and will be instrumental in ensuring appropriate advice and support is provided to the Digital Leadership team and the CISO in relation to the security of our IT platforms and services. You will be responsible for developing ISM plans and policies in line with our broader Cyber Security strategy and maturing our business practices with respect to existing and emerging cyber threats. You will also be working closely with our Digital Transformation Programme to bring to life an exciting Cyber Security strategy in a fast paced and dynamic environment. While it has all the elements of a traditional Security Operations role, it comes with the added advantage of working with a diverse and highly talented range of stakeholders - specialists in science and engineering, and the ability to help shape our Digital approach About You To be successful in this role you will have; Experience working within NZISM requirements in the NZ state sector; 3-5 years' experience in a security operations role, or similar demonstrated experience providing support to improve the information security posture / maturity of a complex technology ecosystem; Experience with facilitating cyber security education and awareness programmes to a diverse workforce; Experiencing in resolving security incidents and handling sensitive matters related to cyber security in large organisations (both on-premise and cloud enabled technology environments); A collaborative and self-managing approach to work; A desire to put the customer at the heart of what we do About Us Callaghan Innovation is New Zealand's innovation agency.
