Position: Shop Helper (Full-time) Salary: $18.00/hr starting wage (depending on experience) Overview California Closets manufacturers custom closets and other home organization solutions. For more than three decades, California Closets has built a reputation as a leader in premium and luxury space management, delivering truly custom products and unparalleled service. The Shop Helper works in the manufacturing division of our Burnaby panel-board fabrication plant (accessible via sky train and bus). The successful candidate will become part of a skilled team producing one-off designs ranging from basic closets to high-end cabinetry for some of the finest homes in Vancouver and Lower Mainland. Qualifications, Skills & Experience The candidate will have previous woodshop experience, be punctual, reliable, organized, friendly, energetic, and believe in a culture of respect. In addition to displaying an excellent work ethic, the candidate will have: Skills with any of the following: CNC edge-bander/nester; shaker door assembly clamps; drawer box assembly clamps; moving table saws (please detail all related experience in your application); Ability to lift sheets weighing up to 50 lbs; Ability to work standing for extended periods of time; Basic computer and smartphone skills; High school diploma; and Ability to work individually and in a team. Work Hours Preference will be given to candidates able to cover either shift below, plus occasional overtime, depending on plant work volume. Early morning: 7:00 a.m. - 3:30 p.m., Monday through Friday Late morning: 10:30 a.m. - 7:00 p.m., Monday through Friday Compensation & Benefits $18.00/hour starting wage Extensive training plan Full medical and dental plan after 90 days To Apply for this Position Please forward resume to [email removed].
