As the Continuous Improvement Manager you will develop a team that will help improve productivity and increase employee efficiency in order to meet the company’s objectives. 2020 will be a challenging year which you will: Develop and put in place a continuous improvement action plan to meet the company’s objectives and ensure that it is carried it out. Foster employee accountability and mobilize employees to achieve operational excellence objectives and projects. Implement engineering change processes and introduce new products. Provide effective change management leadership. Lead by mobilizing and managing your team in accordance with corporate values and management philosophy. Structure and ensure effective and proactive management of maintenance. Introduce strategies and concrete tools for lean production. Direct the selection and implementation of new technological equipment. Identify and ensure the putting in place of the best manufacturing methods for our products. Work closely with the Operations team. Ensure the development and updating of your team’s knowledge. Participate in the technological watch and propose strategies in line with company objectives. Manage the following teams (maintenance, quality, plant/manufacturing engineering, plant projects management) Be a member of the plant’s management team. To find someone who is willing and able to take up this challenge, we are seeking a candidate who has the following qualifications: BSc in mechanical or industrial engineering. 8 to 10 years of experience in a management position in a manufacturing environment. Good track record in continuous improvement. Manufacturing experience in wood processing. Comprehensive knowledge of Lean-approach tools. Six Sigma Lean Black Belt Certification would be an asset. Excellent team player. Results oriented while considering the needs of internal clients. Good listening and communication skills. Ability to mobilize and engage the team to achieve a common goal.
