As a key member of the Executive Management team, the Chief Financial Officer will report to the President & CEO and assume a strategic role in the overall management of the company. The CFO will have primary day-to-day responsibility for planning, implementing, managing and controlling all financial-related activities of the company. This will include direct responsibility for accounting, finance, forecasting, strategic planning, treasury, supply chain management, deal analysis and negotiations, investor relationships and private and institutional financing. Target Responsibilities Accept, embrace and promote the following Core Values of CONSOL Energy: Safety, Compliance & Continuous Improvement Direct the preparation of financial reporting, including internal and external reporting to the Board of Directors and equity and debt partners Direct and manage all financial activities in a manner designed to protect assets, meet reporting requirements, provide timely, meaningful reporting of operations and provide all strategic planning for the financial needs of the group Analyze company’s financial results with respect to profits, trends, costs and compliance with budgets. Issue regular status and ad hoc reports to the board and the executive management team Guide the preparation of budgets, forecasts and financial projections. Provide financial leadership and vision to the development of long range and annual plans that support strategic direction, tactics and business plans necessary to realize financial and operating objectives Create strategic guidance and analyses to assist in making capital investments, capital financing options to support company growth needs and other business decisions Lead the capital raising process for the Company in coordination with the executives. Establish new avenues of raising capital Identify potential investors and develop proper points of access, both direct and indirect, in order to develop relationships for capital raising with consultants, foundations, institutional/corporate, and high net worth investors Leverage the Company’s current private equity relationships and cultivate expansion of their investor base Plans, coordinates and leads investor road shows, analyst meetings, speaker’s events and annual shareholder meetings. Prepares senior management materials and briefings Manage the treasury function, including cash management and forecasting Manage commercial banking and debt relationships and represent the company to external financial partners Provide technical review of contracts and participate in discussion and determination of contract terms Qualifications Qualifications and Skills Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance or related field Minimum of 10 years financial experience of which 5 to 7 years would have been spent in handling financial and corporate affairs of a publicly traded company in a managerial capacity Excellent communicator for Board and Investor Relations Repeated success executing on financial strategies Success in forming and negotiating profitable strategic partnerships Extraordinary achievement and excellence in enhancing shareholder value Previous experience working within coal mining industry, strong candidates with other commodities will be considered Must understand the processes, cost drivers and reporting of underground deep mines Primary Location: US-PA-Canonsburg Work Locations: CNX Center 1000 Consol Energy Drive Suite 100 Canonsburg 15317 Job: Mining Operations and Exploration Organization: CONSOL Energy Inc.
