Job Summary Responding to client support requests. Contacting clients to find out the nature of the problem. Travelling to the client’s location or connecting via remote link. Troubleshooting hardware and software issues. Installing and maintaining hardware and computer peripherals. Installing and upgrading operating systems and computer software. Troubleshooting networking and connection issues. Advising on software or hardware upgrades. Providing basic training on computer operation and management. Desktop engineer’s job needs the assembly and installation of desktops, laptops, maintaining all systems up to date with upgrades and security resolutions. The standard routine is that the software section of an organisation designs an application which will make the regular operations of an organisation easier and much faster with the help of a support engineer. Another step is that business can purchase an authorised enterprise version of the software and allow the user to work on it based on the requirements. In both the scenarios, a group of Desktop Support Engineers will behave as a connection among the users and the new software. The engineer will work together with the users and provide their capability for trouble-free customer experience.
