Summary Support the development and delivery of energy efficiency programs which may involve providing engineering calculations, building energy simulations, measurement and verification, and utility program technical design and assistance. Support business development efforts and proactively seeks new project opportunities. Job Description Key Responsibilities: Working under the supervision of professional engineers within a team to perform technical review of energy efficiency funding applications, including assessment of proposals and feasibility studies completed by third parties to ensure technical viability of proposed capital projects to achieve the anticipated energy and process improvements. Prepares information requests for clients/consultants to address submission deficiencies. Performs data analysis, including statistical and regression techniques, to establish baselines for energy efficiency project incentive contracts. Supports the development of detailed, IPMVP compliant, measurement and verification (M&V) plans Attends pre and post project inspections of existing equipment and operating parameters or completed project installations. Analyzes post project data with respect to the M&V plan and prepares M&V reports of project performance. Supports walk-through energy assessments of industrial, institutional and large commercial facilities to identify energy conservation opportunities, recommends steps to investigate and prepares written reports of findings. Prepares and maintains a variety of reports to manage and monitor project activity. Maintains client satisfaction and develops client relationships including undertaking business development activities. Collaboratively works with the multi-disciplinary engineering team. Experience and Skills: A minimum of 3 years of engineering work experience. Experience and knowledge of electrical energy conservation measures in manufacturing or building systems (experience in large industries such as pulp and paper, steel manufacturing, mining, etc. is an asset). Experience in an engineering services company is an asset. Experience and knowledge of Ontario's incentive programs, including experience as a technical reviewer. (Experience with Save on Energy Process and Systems Upgrade program is an asset.) Proactive self-starter with strong organization skills. Proficiency with MS Office, particularly spreadsheet, word processing, Outlook and SharePoint. Strong oral and written communication skills. Ability to work well with all levels of management, colleagues and external contacts with strong customer service orientation.
