CK Group is recruiting for an Analytical Scientist to join a company in the pharmaceutical industry at their site based in Ware on a contract basis until the end of 2020 and has a hourly rate of £12.48 PAYE. The Company: Our client is a global healthcare company who take on some of the world's biggest healthcare challenges. They provide health benefits to patients and consumers and have three world-leading businesses that research, develop and manufacture innovative pharmaceutical medicines, vaccines and consumer healthcare products. The Location: This role is located on a state of the art R&D facility based in Ware, Hertfordshire. The town lies on the north-south A10 road which is partly shared with the east-west A414 (for Hertford to the west and Harlow to the east). Trains run from London Liverpool Street to Ware and take approximately 45 minutes. The Role: This role will see you managing the GMP receipt, logging and disposal of the high throughput of drug substance and drug product samples submitted to the laboratory in preparation for their analysis by LC-MS, LC-MS/MS and ion chromatography The successful candidate will be involved with a range of activities including: Receipt, submission and disposal of all samples presented to the laboratory for testing. Coordination, along with other analysis of the testing rotas to ensure timely delivery of data Maintenance of stocks of all lab consumables to ensure smooth, uninterrupted running of all methods in the laboratory Own and manage interactions with key stakeholders, e.g. communication, data/information flow, shipment of materials etc. Your Background: Qualifications required: BSc in chemistry, biochemistry, pharmaceuticals, or related scientific discipline Experience in analytical testing of pharmaceutical, biopharmaceutical products Strong organisational and excellent interpersonal communication skills Demonstrated excellence in technical writing skills Demonstrable ability to work in multi-disciplinary, multi-cultural teams Demonstrable ability to work independently, influence others and lead a project or team Demonstrated ability to work to high standards of quality and safety For more information or to apply for this position, please contact Jenni on 01438 768 710 or email [email removed].
