Roles & Responsibilities JOB Description The appointee will manage, plan and develop building services systems from project inception, design, contract procurement, site execution to handover for new capital, addition and alternation as well as improvement projects to ensure the projects are accomplished in time, within budget, and up to required quality and safety standards. Liaise with both internal and external stakeholders in accomplishing project objectives and provide technical support and expert advice on discipline-related issues to other members of the project team. Manage and monitor the performance of MEP design consultant; reviewing and comments prior to conduct formal submission to Client and Authorities for approve and consent. Coordinate with the project team to produce preliminary and detailed designs, tender/design/construction documents, and to manage the procurement and construction process. Monitor and review the technical design and specification to ensure that project requirements are incorporated effectively into detailed design, works contract drawings and specifications. Implement progress, quality and budgetary control. Manage and oversee the installation work of the building services systems and the performance of sub-contractors. Perform any other duties as assigned by Project Manager. Requirements Applicants should have a degree or diploma in Electrical/Building Services Engineering /Engineering (Mechanical) or related disciplines plus at least 5 to 10 years of relevant experience in Building Services MEP design and project management of building and infrastructure development. Knowledge of Auto CAD application/drawings delivery and 3D BIM modelling coordination. Experience in multi disciplines with team’s collaboration in mega project during design and construction phase.. A good command of both spoken and written English and Chinese is essential. (Good written and verbal communication skills in Chinese to communicate with both Chinese speaking internal and external stakeholders in accomplishing project objectives and provide technical support and expert advice on discipline-related issues to other Chinese speaking members of the project team) Being a member of Building Services engineering professional bodies is an advantage. Solid experience in design developing and managing a Waste to Energy (WTE) project is preferred, but not necessary. The ideal candidate should have good analytical and organizational skills, strong sense of responsibility and the ability to work independently.
