In addition, be actively involved in using reports or developing reports to assist logistics review costs, service and vendor activity. A point of contact for training and enlisting/ delisting transport vendors, KPA setting and review of transport vendors and working closely with the transport team to drive these efficiencies. Your mission as a Planning & Transport Analyst is to minimize the costs through the optimization of the planning process. You will be responsible for the demand and production planning, forecasting and network improvements. As part of the planning team you will function as a back-up to ensure planning continuity Key Accountabilities: Lean Logistics (TMS) System Development Consult LeanLogistics colleagues globally to stay abreast of any new system developments / changes. Conduct UAT Testing in conjunction with global team when required Identify the need, develop and implement for continuous improvement Achieve and maintain company Super-User/SME status for LEAN software Lean Logistics (TMS) System Maintenance UAT & Regression Testing on all SAP/ LEAN interfaces On-going Rate changes dependent on negotiations and market fluctuations Update and monitor all stock location and customer addresses as well as co-ordinates in LeanLogistics. Manage the overall system and data integrity. Identify and load any additional routing guides Maintain accurate/current transport rates in existing routing guides. Lean Logistics System (TMS) Support (Team and Transporters) Deliver professional, meaningful and timely reports and analysis to internal and external customers Create and maintain a quick-reference handbook for the Transporters On-going support to ensure optimal use of the system Training of transport system users and CHEP Transport Planners Investigate and anticipate any user problems and needs, identify their source, and determine possible solutions. Investigate and report on interfacing challenges between SAP /JDA and TMS Vendor onboarding. Assisting transporters with vendor on-boarding. Implement and maintain transporter file for each transporter with required documentation Develop, monitor and maintain BEE status tracker Report on truck optimisation TMS onboarding of vendors Manage transporter accident claims and ensure invoice payment Transport Analysis Analyse transport cost by lane and propose cost improvements to reduce overspend Monitor and audit all transport rates tendered and accepted in the LeanLogistics load tendering module. Continuous cooperation with stock planning and transport team Perform Ad-Hoc analyses as directed Transport Cost/ payment Analysis Generate weekly Logistics cost reports to measure Actual vs. Budget, and provide analysis of activities and variances Generate monthly transport report indicating high cost lanes transport costs; provide detailed analysis of this information; and identify improvements to activity Responsible Adhoc payments, and to run monthly financial journals for finance teams Support with all logistics payment process and Basware discrepancies with SAP/ LEAN systems. Align batch transfer along with Vendor’s closing loads for ease of weekly/ monthly cost transfers. Be prepared to run cost analysis reports for Logistics team for Cost analysis, form SAP, Lean or Basware. Transporter Performance Develop key transport performance metrics Highlight and report total service failures by transporter through a dashboard Control processes to manage data integrity from shipment to transporter invoice payment in cooperation with the logistics and finance department Report and Dashboard Development Enhance and / or develop reports and dashboards for the Logistics and Planning teams to monitor planning efficiency, relocations, transportation costs, and transporter performance Planning: Develop internal performance dashboard indicating planning failures by planners where additional cost was occurred. Use Supply Chain and Inventory Management techniques to develop production and transportation plans ensuring high service levels at low cost. Deliver scenario and contingency planning framework Forecasting Participate in monthly reviews of demand forecast with Transport and Planning managers. Strategic planning Manage use of CHEP optimization tools (JDA, SAP, TMS, others) to deliver accurate data & reporting. Track outcomes of short-term planning & budget to forecast demand, depict trends and assess variances. Identify short, medium- and long-term opportunities for company direct cost saving and assess their potential impact Required Qualification, Experience and Skills Supply Chain system knowledge 3 Years data analysis experience within a Supply Chain environment Desirable experience in transport tendering General work experience within a transport environment Transport Systems knowledge Drive disciplines and efficiencies within a logistics environment Advanced experience in Supply Chain Management tools (JDA/ SAP/TMS). Advanced knowledge of analytical tools such as MS Excel, Power BI, Dashboard reporting Experience with S&OP, Transport Management System, Sales Forecasting and demand planning a plus In possession or working towards a degree in Transport or Supply Chain Skills and Knowledge SAP and LeanLogistics TMS knowledge i.e. interface between the systems Advanced excel skills PowerBI development SQL queries Data mining Analytical proficiency Good verbal & written communication Ability to deliver informative, well-organised presentations Proactively seeks opportunities to maximise system benefits Facilitates effective team participation Communicates effectively with transporters to identify needs and evaluate alternative business solutions.
