Facilities Manager Job Description The CDA Group is one of the UK’s leading manufacturers of kitchen appliances. Selling over one million appliances each year we are highly regarded for quality, style and outstanding customer service. We have a fantastic opportunity for a Facilities Manager to join our Logistics team. The successful candidate will take overall responsibility for the maintenance and general appearance of the CDA site and building facilities and ensure that high standards are maintained. Key Responsibilities: Co-ordinate and plan the maintenance schedule for all company facilities, strategically and day to day, whilst managing and supervising the Facilities function. Optimise utilisation of our buildings for our colleagues and community. Ensure our workspace is compliant and provides a great place to work. Responsible for managing the FM budget. Manage and maintain the overall security arrangements for the business while ensuring that the relevant people are aware of the procedures and the use of the Fire Alarm and Security systems. Conduct periodic reviews of site security and take appropriate action where necessary. Monitor the operation of all premises-related mechanical, electrical, heating and water systems and other plant, including PAT testing schedule, the recording of meter readings as required and ensuring adequate fuel supplies. Monitor and maintain the levels of lighting, heating and ventilation in line with Workplace Regulations. Identify and project manage any shortfalls from business case through to job completion. Undertake occasional grounds maintenance duties and manage the grounds maintenance contractors. To be responsible for the ordering of stock, checking of invoices, monitoring of budgets and keeping records of all equipment and tools within the business. To undertake regular inspections of the site facilities and report significant defects and remedy minor defects. Complete building checks and file. Where external contractors/inspectors are employed, to issue permit to work documents and monitor work and certify that work has been done satisfactorily. Manage and maintain CDA approved contractors lists and all relevant documents in line with the CDA Contractor policy.
