CCI Health & Wellness Services empowers patients to partner with staff for an unparalleled healthcare experience. We deliver high quality, affordable, care to every patient during all stages of life providing services to the medically under-served at 14 sites in Montgomery and northern Prince George's counties. Our services include primary care, behavioral health, dental, adolescent health, HIV and infectious disease testing and treatment, prenatal, and family planning. CCI Health & Wellness Services is also the largest provider of WIC services in the state of Maryland. We are looking for a Chief Operating Officer (COO) to provide effective leadership that ensures the highest quality of care is provided with the most efficient use of available resources. The daily focus includes achieving performance goals, enhancing employee engagement and driving a culture focused on CCI's mission, vision, core standards and objectives. The COO needs to be confident and comfortable speaking and advocating on behalf of CCI in a variety of venues and be able to express CCI's viewpoint and initiatives thoughtfully, articulately and effectively. Responsibilities: Lead with integrity and foster a culture consistent with organizational mission, vision and CCI's Core Standards of Behavior. Develop strategic plans, annual plans and budgets for approval by the President & CEO. Assist in new clinical program development, ensuring participatory decision making and appropriate design and implementation. Ensure program and corporate compliance with primary health care policies and procedures, as well as with external regulatory bodies, funders, professional review and standards boards. Safeguard the financial and legal integrity of the organization while fostering a culture of collaboration and innovation. Oversee departmental talent management strategies and plans to effectively attract, engage and retain talent, at all levels, for ongoing success. Collaborate to develop and implement plans for the operational infrastructure of systems and processes designed to accommodate growth and other CCI objectives. Assist in Development Department activities to include preparation, application submission and program compliance and administration once grants are received. Resolve logistics issues related to utilization of facilities, equipment and supplies. Mentor developing managers and leaders. Provide direct clinical care as applicable. Actively participates in organizational goal setting and action planning through Studer processes including the Leader Evaluation Management (LEM) tool, attendance and participation at the Leadership Development Institute (LDI), Joint Site Visits, and other trainings as required. Qualifications: Masters degree or higher from an accredited College or University Knowledge of the principles and practices of health planning and administrative management sufficient to lead and oversee day-to-day operations. Must have experience and accomplishments demonstrating knowledge, experience and mastery of FQHC regulatory compliance and operations. Minimum of 5 years of healthcare executive operational management experience in private, non-profit, federal or state government health care programs, or other complex healthcare environments. Must have highly developed interpersonal and communication skills, as well as excellent critical thinking skills, emotional regulation during stressful situations, the capacity to function independently, and business acumen. Ability to travel frequently to CCI's service sites and attend in-state and out-of-state meetings during business, evening and weekend hours as needed Basic understanding of information technology and ability to organize, analyze and synthesize complex data from various sources. Willingness to work flexible hours in order to meet the organization's needs/demands.
